Kim-Alexa Sascia opened Alexa's Treasures in Ballarat in 2001 alongside her mother Gaby, with a simple idea. A shop where people could find something truly different, backed by someone who genuinely knew and loved what she sold.
For many years the pair ran the shop together, and Gaby's vibrant and beautiful personality was as much a part of Alexa's Treasures as the jewellery itself. Together this personal venture between mother and daughter has grown into a Ballarat institution, built one customer and one carefully chosen piece at a time.
Gaby is deeply missed, but her spirit lives on in everything Alexa's Treasures is. The care, warmth and fabulous atmosphere still remains throughout, shaping how it feels to walk through the door today. The brilliant customer service and knowledge from Kim and her amazing Team continue the Alexa's Treasures custom it is renowned for.
One of Australia's Widest Collections
Today the shop is home to Australia's widest variety of jewellery collections, spanning gold, silver, natural diamond, gemstone, pearls, opals, amber and marcasite, as well as vintage costume pieces.
The range reflects decades of collecting and curating, built up piece by piece rather than assembled overnight. Every item is hand picked by Kim, with no catalogues and online orders, just a genuine eye for jewellery worth keeping and passing on. Most are unique pieces that you won't find anywhere else. Certainly something for everyone's style and budget.
